The Spirit of Connection
by Patricia Rose Upczak

The spirit of connection is the essence of Universe. Slowly the paths of mystics and scientists converge as they seek the "truth" from their perspective. "A Course in Miracles" tells us that our perception of separateness is an illusion. I believe we are all vibrational beings living in a multidimensional Vibrational Universe. We can use that energy any way we choose to a point. We can focus on healing, joy, synchronicity, love, peace and miracles. Or we can focus on the negative things we perceive in our world or lives. Either way we are still connected either consciously or unconsciously to the ultimate energy of God or our Source. Just because someone chooses to close their eyes while sitting in the sun does not disconnect them from the sunlight.

Synchronicity, Signs and Symbols by Patricia Rose Upczak

I have a favorite Sanskrit saying that describes my feelings about almost everything, including the concept of connection. It gives us the feeling of the true essence (I believe) of the total connectedness of the Universe.

As the atom so is the Universe.
As the microcosm so is the Macrocosm.
As the human body so is the Cosmic body.
As the human mind so is the Cosmic mind.

The Universe is infinite. The possibilities are infinite. Everything is connected to everything else. Our ability to perceive the wholeness of reality is limited to a narrow focus through our human eyes. But we have hints and clues at every turn if we just relax and open our hearts to the whispers of Reality.

Spirals, labyrinths, numbers and countless other symbols create a myriad of intersecting landscapes for us to investigate. There is no point where God begins or ends. Our lives are intimately connected to everything. The majesty of the Universe is beyond our minds. The symphony of the Cosmos is beautiful and harmonious. Numbers throughout the ages guide us through great mysteries as we learn their codes.

Our lives are designed to follow a plan that promotes growth, joy and harmony. Our choices are filled with patterns; life is cyclical just as the seasons come and go in rebirth, renewal and apparent death.

A Synchronistic Journey by Patricia Rose Upczak

The symbolic world is the language of the Universe. Thus words often do not convey the essence of truth. In the past science has tried to be disconnected from the spiritual and emotional realms. However, Dr. Candice Pert, author of "The Molecules of Emotion" discovered that our cells respond to our emotions everywhere in the body. Dr. Pert is one of many scientist who are exploring the mind, body and spirit connection. Her research has shown clearly that cells at
the most minute levels communicate with each other. They vibrate together over a period of time, depending on the actions of the other cells around them. The cells seem to have intelligence at all levels within the body.

Our connections go beyond the human form. There seem to be powerful and intricate patterns forming constantly throughout the cosmos. We are connected to every cell and molecule that exists. Spirals, shapes or labyrinths intertwine throughout the Universe, creating all that we see, hear or experience. Sound, sacred geometry, patterns in trees, leaves, flowers, snails and seashells all speak to us in ways that the conscious intellect does not usually understand.

Life is connectedness. As children we learn to solve puzzles and dot-to-dot pictures. As we grew our lives became filled with challenges to overcome. Some people like to overcome obstacles and figure out challenges. Some people are afraid of what they don't understand.

The Etruscans, Greeks, Mayans, Egyptians and the Celtic people were among the many ancients that felt the power and importance of symbols and their connection to the Greater World around them. The ancients developed intricate codes and rituals to help their people develop, grow and safely navigate their world.

The power of focus is important, no matter what your lifestyle or age. Energy follows thought, what you think about all day long is what you get. So the most important step in any process is the control of your mind, thought, hopes and wishes.

Reiki A Way of Life by Patricia Rose Upczak

Animals are great teachers for anyone who is willing to pay attention. Ken Keyes' book, "The Hundredth Monkey," provides hope for our human species. As the story has been told there were a group of scientist studying the behavior of the Macaca Fuscata monkeys on a small island off the coast of Japan in 1952.

The scientist began to feed the monkeys by dropping sweet potatoes in the sand on the beach. The sand made the potatoes difficult to eat. One young female, Imo, learned to wash the potatoes before eating them. She taught this behavior to her friends and relatives, and pretty soon many of the monkeys were imitating Imo's food washing behavior. The scientists observed this with interest, watching how the behavior slowly spread through the tribe, until one day something startling happened -- every monkey in the tribe began washing their food. The scientist reported their observation -- at the same time that another group of scientists on the distant mainland had noticed an odd and eerie phenomenon: suddenly all the Macaca Fuscata monkeys they had been observing began to wash their food in the ocean with no physical connection to Imo or the original band of monkeys.

Scientist such as Dr. Rupert Sheldrake have ongoing experiments with different species continuing around the planet. The hope is that all of us are connected in ways that our finite minds do not grasp. So when a significant percentage of our species understands or learns a concept possibly the rest of us will automatically understand and learn those concepts too!

"A Course In Miracles" tells us we are all ONE, and that separation is an illusion. I believe that is the ultimate connection. One world, one people, One Universe for all of us to explore, create and live joyfully in.
